hierarchical interrelationships , Porcelain Clay plates, wood, paint., 50 X 450 X 400 cm, Sundaymorning@Ekwc, Den Bosch, NL 2011.
culpture experimenting with different ways of folding porcelain moulds around or on top of round wooden battens In this process, the battens left their imprint in the clay as it slowly dried. Subsequently, the clay was fired in the kiln, after which it was reconnected to the wood and placed in its original position. The two parts were combined in a large sculptural arrangement.
This sculpture was also an exploration of abstract basic forms and the relationship between the soft and hard mechanics of materials, where the placement of the forms and the tension in the clay and black and light colour combination exude a force of strength, fragility and power.
